How To Find Events On Vivint Playback?
Vivint keeps recorded videos for 30 days. After this, the recorded video clips are automatically overwritten by new ones. If your Vivint video(s) have not been overwritten yet then you can find your lost or deleted Vivint camera clip by following the below steps:
1. First, open the Vivint app on your Android or iPhone and sign in to your Vivint account. Then select the Camera icon.
2. Next, tap on the EVENTS to select a specific camera or you can select all camera devices at once by tapping on the ALL EVENTS button. After this, a list of all saved recordings will appear on your connected phone.
Note: If you have not logged in to your Vivint account then you will not be able to find your lost camera recordings from the Vivint Sky app.
3. Now, select the day you wish to retrieve your lost recording and then scroll to find the specific event. The new recording list will appear at the top of the list and the older ones will be at the bottom.
4. Once you have found the Vivint video clip, tap on it to play the video.
Note: Keep in mind that the Vivint camera system can store the recorded events for up to 30 days only. After that, the Vivint camera videos will be automatically deleted and you will not be able to recover them from the Smart Drive.

If you have subscribed to Vivint’s Smart Home Cloud then you will be able to retrieve your camera recordings from anywhere. You can do this by following the below steps:
1. First, log in to your Vivint Smart Home Cloud account through your phone or laptop.
2. Then tap on the menu icon on the left top corner of your phone’s screen.
3. Now, select Recorded Events. By doing this, a list of recorded events or video recordings will appear on your phone screen.
4. Scroll up or down to find the event you are looking for. Then select the 3 dots and tap on Event Specifics to get more details like Camera location, start time, duration of the video clip, etc. about the selected camera recording.
5. Finally, tap on the View Event Video button to play the selected Vivint video clip on your phone.
