In this guide, I will be telling you how you can restore the deleted call history on your Android and iPhone. There are multiple ways to do it and I will take you through all of them one by one.
How To Recover Call Logs On iPhone?
iPhone provides you a lot of options to retrieve the deleted call history from your phone which are as follows.
1. Recover From Computer
If you have created an iTunes backup then you can easily recover the call logs even after they are deleted from your phone.
- Launch iTunes on your Mac or Windows computer. After that connect your iPhone to the PC via data cable.
- Select iPhone and then choose the Restore backup option from the dashboard.
- Choose the file you want to backup and then click on the Restore Backup option.
- Now, wait till the backup process is complete. Remember, don’t disconnect the phone from the computer until the entire process completes. The phone will also restart during the process so don’t worry it’s part of the iTunes backup process.
2. Restore Call Logs On iPhone Without Computer
For recovering files from iTunes, you will need a computer. However, if you don’t have access to it at the moment then you can also make use of the iCloud backup to restore the call history without a computer. Here are the steps to do that.
- Make sure your device is connected to WiFi. Now you will have to erase your phone i.e. hard reset it. To do so, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
- Now, while setting up the phone, enter your Apple ID on which you have created the iCloud backup.
- Next, choose Restore from the iCloud Backup option and log in to your iCloud account.
- After that, you have to choose the iCloud backup that you wish to restore. It may take some time for the process to complete based on how much data is there to be restored.
- Once the backup is complete you will be able to see all the deleted call logs on your iPhone.
Note: Recovering call logs from iTunes or iCloud is simple but it resets your iPhone. This means you cannot restore a single contact or call log, you will have to restore the entire call history along with other phone data. This process holds a risk of losing the newly added data which is not backup yet like newly installed apps, contacts, messages, etc.

You can also download the Call Log Monitor app on your Android device. Unlike another backup service, you don’t have to manually create the backup here. Just keep the app installed on your phone and it will keep syncing the call logs and contact details automatically.
For example, as you can see I have deleted contacts in my phone’s dialer app, but if I open the call log monitor I can still see them there.
2. Retrieve Call Logs From Android Without Backup
If you don’t have a backup then the only solution to recover Android call history is by using a data recovery tool. But, without rooting you might not be able to recover the deleted call history from Android. If you have already rooted your Android or you are willing to root it then you can follow the below steps:
1. Install EaseUS MobiSaver For Android on your computer. Next, you need to connect your rooted phone to your PC and launch the software.
2. Run the scan and wait till the data is recovered. It may take some time to recover all the data. Wait for a few seconds and then choose the file you want to recover. Finally, click on Save to download the deleted call logs on your phone.

Recover Deleted Call History From WhatsApp
Not just the cellular calls but these days VoIP calls are also used by people on apps like WhatsApp to call their friends. If you are looking for ways to recover deleted WhatsApp call history then keep reading.
WhatsApp has its inbuilt backup feature where it stores your chats, call logs, and media files. If you have enabled the backup then don’t worry you can do WhatsApp call log recovery easily, just follow the below steps on your phone.

- You will have to uninstall WhatsApp first and then re-install it on your phone.
- Now type in your phone number with which you have created the WhatsApp account previously.
